Sweden’s Prince Julian christened in Stockholm
Sweden’s Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia had their 5-month-old son, Prince Julian, christened on the Royal Chapel of Drottningholm Palace in Stockholm this weekend.
Bishop Johan Dalman and Reverend Michael Bjerkhagen blessed the child as he was held by his mom on Saturday.
Current for the ceremony had been Prince Carl Philip’s dad and mom — King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia — in addition to Prince Julian’s massive brothers — Prince Alexander, 5, and Prince Gabriel, 3.
Johan Andersson, Stina Andersson, Patrick Sommerlath, Jacob Hello¶gfeldt and Frida Vesterberg had been chosen to be Prince Julian’s godparents.
Prince Julian, who’s seventh in line for the Swedish throne, was wearing the identical white christening robe his father wore to his personal 1979 baptism.
The household heirloom reportedly dates again to Prince Gustaf Adolf’s 1906 christening.
Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia married in 2015.
