Gabourey Sidibe to headline fiction podcast ‘If I Go Lacking the Witches Did It’



Valuable and Empire actress Gabourey Sidibe has signed on to guide the voice ensemble for the scripted fiction podcast If I Go Lacking the Witches Did It.

Set to debut Sept. 26, the nine-episode audio program is billed as “a thriller with satirical and paranormal parts,” in response to its producer Realm.

New episodes will premiere each Sunday on all podcast platforms together with Apple Podcasts, Spotify and Stitcher.

“We’re thrilled to work with Gabourey, whose portrayal of New York author Jenna Clayton will make you not solely chortle hysterically, but additionally interact critically with problems with race, class, and capitalism,” Molly Barton — CEO and co-founder of Realm — stated in a press release Friday.

Pia Wilson, whose credit embrace Genius: Aretha, penned the series.

“The satirical present follows Jenna (performed by Sidibe) who, after a summer season in Westchester absorbing how the opposite half lives, has vanished and not using a hint,” a synopsis stated.

“The one clue: a set of voice memos detailing an investigation into a gaggle of influencers she suspected had been utilizing magic to realize their means.
